In recent years, the Black Sea area is becoming the center of confrontation between interests of not just neighboring countries but countries and international organizations from other parts of the world. Recent events emphasize the geopolitical importance of the region, in which regional countries have the main role.

It's evident that during these processes, Georgia's Role is important since it carries Western values in the region. Considering that during these processes in the Black sea region, Global actors are taking their part too, Georgia has to determine its role in the existing background.  Georgia's orientation is directed to Western values, which intensifies the threats from Russian Federation.  The only way for Georgia to connect with Euro-Atlantic space is through the Black Sea.

Also, the sense of stability in the region will be directly reflected in the trade, transit, and economic possibilities of Georgia. So Georgia tries to Improve its position in the region by cooperating with NATO.

In Georgian defense and foreign politic documents also in 2014 national defense strategy the black sea region is allocated as a region and is noted that Georgia is interested in advancing cooperation with the region’s countries, especially with NATO members. Within the scope in 2019 in connection with NATO’s 70th birthday, the implemented the black sea packet in which Georgia was also included

The packet goals are to increase support in fields like information exchange, visits in ports, and training of coast guard and navy officers which is a good example of support. 1936 Montreux convention makes Georgia even more attractive for western states because the convention places the countries of the region and limits outside actors’ pursuit of interest, that’s why the western political society regards Georgia as an ally just like they regard Ukraine as an important ally so they can present their interests in the region in these countries’ name.

After the independence, Georgia had to overcome many tumults, which influences today's events. The following paper will discuss challenges such as Georgia has to face and what role it might have in stabilizing Black Sea's safety. The topic will revise the future perspectives which region has to face and possible expectations which we might face on the conflict's background.
