
The researcher of our center is working on publishing an article named: "Geopolitics of Large Infrastructure Projects: Case of Anaklia Deep Sea Port."
Once again, we want to state that our center is actively studying the peculiarities of the geopolitical location of Georgia and the challenges thereof. The aforesaid article describes the transformation of the International Political Order in the 21st century and its impact on the geopolitical status of the South Caucasus transit corridor.
Within the article "One Belt One Road" (OBOR) initiative, one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the world and its connection with the Black Sea basin, in particular, the Georgian transit corridor, will be discussed. On the one hand, the paper will describe the geopolitical features of the region, which determine the specifics of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project. On the other hand, the impact of foreign actors on Georgia's transit opportunities. The developments surrounding the Anaklia Deepwater Port project will be studied in-depth, and questions raised about the suspension thereof will be answered.
