Davit Baratashvili's doctoral dissertation "Social Networks and Their Impact on the Political Attitudes of Citizens" examines the impact of the digital world on society and the state. The research focuses on the circumstances of how social networks and modern digital technologies change people's perceptions of the world. The dissertation discusses the growing influence of social networks and technologies on citizens and the consequences thereof.

In the research, special attention will be paid to the fact that the constant use of digital technology causes dependence and addiction on the part of users,  especially among the younger generation. Additionally, the forms of communication and self-expression, perceptions of reality, and worldview are changing. Technological influences on society are increasing, and large-scale transformation is taking place as social technology companies ascertain their position at the forefront. 

The research will analyze the role of digital technologies in developing the collective mind of citizens and the positive and negative aspects of the phylogeny of the collective mind.
